We arrived early at the Show, and the ponies all enjoyed a hack round the Showground on the Tuesday, Wednesday morning Cliquot competed in the first phase of the Blue Riband, and was selected for final judging which was to take place on Saturday, and later that day won the All British 122cms. Show Hunter, followed by taking the All British Mini Championship and a place in the final during the evening performance.

Cliquot's forte is evening performances, he loves them, he knows that if you are getting his tack on when it's dark this is it, he is a true little showman, the music, lights and the audience, the arena is his stage, and we were delighted when he was awarded the All British Supreme Champion.

Saturday soon came upon us, and into the indoor arena for the final judging of the Blue Riband, with the judge Mrs. Sally Fluck now being joined by Miss Maggie Philbin, all the shows being done, we await the final placing, starting in reverse order, when it gets to second your heart begins to race, and no, that's not his number, we have won, and this little grey pony steps forward to receive his wonderful flower decked sash, how proud we felt, then we realised that this fantastic win qualified him for the Supreme of the Show much later that evening.

Having looked at the timetable, both jockey and pony were put to bed all afternoon!, and at 9.00 he came up from his stable to the lights of the collecting ring to join all the beautiful ponies who had qualified to partake in the Supreme, then it was time, each and every pony in the arena that evening were superb, all Champions. Cliquot as always gave it his best, and produced a superb gallop, and then the long wait, till the lights went down and the winner was announced, number 716 Leamington Cliquot was the judge's choice for the 2000 Supreme Champion, we were totally overwhelmed, but so thrilled, and Tuffy took it all in her stride, relaxed and happy on her dearly loved "Cliquot".

The memories of this wonderful evening will always be with us, and we thank the most generous sponsors, the arena stewards and to the Hon. Rachael Marckus for honouring Leamington Cliquot and Tuffy, with this very prestigious award, and to our daughter Jo who on her own, this year has produced the ponies for Todd and Tuffy a very big thank you, and congratulations, we are so very proud of you all.
